Race Weather and Forecasts

When a race is set up, the online race weather is set to the actual real weather at the real track at the time of the online race, as indicated by www.weather.com.  There is always a weather link to the weather forecast for upcoming events' venues at the bottom of the home page.

Getting a Forecast For the next Race

Click on the weather link on the home page to go to www.weather.com.  Once at www.weather.com, there is a 10-day forecast button on the bar above the current weather.  If it is 48 or fewer hours until the race, you can get a detailed forecast by clicking on the hour-by-hour button on the bar above current weather.

Determining Weather for HPCORS races

For those of you who can't sleep at night without knowing such esoteric things, the following outlines in detail how we translate www.weather.com weather into NR2003 weather.

Just before launching the race, we go to weather.com and look at the current weather for the track to be run (using the weather link on the HPCORS home page).
